• Bicycles

Bike racks are located throughout campus with increasing locations being added. The Metropolitan Branch Trail will run parallel to the Metro along the east edge of campus (along John McCormack Road). This paved bike path is currently being extended from Silver Spring, Maryland to Union Station. This extension will facilitate local access between the Fort Totten Metro, Catholic University and the surrounding community. For more information on this project, please click here.

• Campus Shuttle

On weekdays, the campus shuttle runs a dedicated route from the Brookland-CUA Metro station to individual buildings from 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Shuttle pickups may be requested until 10:30 p.m. each weekday by calling 202-552-PARK (7275). • Capital Bikeshare

Capital Bikeshare puts more than 3,000 bicycles at your fingertips. Capital Bikes are accessible at 500 stations and counting across Washington, D.C., including at the entrance to the Brookland-CUA Metro station. • Metrorail and Metrobus

CUA is served by the H1, H2, H3, H4, G8, and 80 Metrobus routes. The closest Metrorail stop is Brookland/CUA on the red line. Check the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) website for schedules.

• Reservable Vans

CUA offers the use of reservable vans to authorized University drivers for official University trips and business. To request a van, please visit events.catholic.edu. • SGA Express

The University’s Student Government Association (SGA) provides shuttles for students from campus to nearby airports. We have added new Ford Transit vans to the reservable vehicle fleet for use by student organizations, including SGA. For more information on SGA Express, please click here.

• SmartBenefits® for Catholic University Faculty and Staff

The University participates in WMATA’s SmartBenefits® program. Employees who participate in the SmartBenefits® program can elect to have up to $255 per month withheld for transit and $255 per month withheld for parking, pre-tax. For more information regarding this program, please click here.

• TransitScreen

In February 2019, Transportation and Parking Services installed a TransitScreen by the ground floor entrance to the Edeward J. Pryzbyla University Center. TransitScreen displays real-time transportation feeds from a variety of transit modes, including Metro, Metrobus, ridesharing (Uber), car sharing (Zipcar), and the campus shuttle. • ZimRide

ZimRide is a private ride sharing network for The Catholic University of America through a partnership with Enterprise. ZimRide allows students to find rides home for breaks or to find a carpool partner for their regular commute to classes. For more information and to sign up, please click here.

• ZipCar

ZipCar is a convenient car sharing service available on campus. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni of Catholic University who create a ZipCar membership are waived the $25 dollar application fee when they join with the University. Registering with the University also reduces the cost of an annual membership fee to $15 (a $55 discount). To register with the University, please visit the ZipCar website.
